Sunday Night Blog [18th July]

I don’t know why I bothered with the title for this blog to be honest.  It’s currently 11:50pm, and I know full well it will take me more than 9 minutes to finish this blog >_>.

Ah well, if you’re reading this sentence then I presume you’ve made do with this inadequate titling and are willing to bare with me for the rest of these words that I’m typing out here now.

So, right now.  I’m eating a bowl of Shredded Wheat bitesize.  I eat them straight nowadays.  When I was a kid I used to sprinkle a tonne of sugar on top.  In fact when I was a kid, I put sugar on practically any cereal, even some that were pre-sugared for me.
I’m a big fan of cereal though,  I’m a big fan of breakfast on the whole to be honest.
Although one problem recently though is that I’m not as compatible with Milk as I used to be (my body might need to update it’s drivers?).
Throughout my life I’ve never really been keen on drinking milk, just something about it that made it a bit sickly for me.  In fact, back when I was about 15 I once had a contest with my friend Brad to see who could drink the most milk, knowing full well that I would be throwing up from that ordeal.  This was back in the days when me and my friends all got our “lolz” from doing stupid things like that.

The Blur "Coffee & TV" Milk carton is awesome :)

Still, back when I was a kid, and say…up until about 4 years ago, I still was able to drink a lot of cups of tea, and chain bowls of cereal with ease.  Where as now if I have too much milk it feels as though it’s just sat inside me looking around not knowing how to be digested.  I also have problems with Cheese too.  Cheese is delicious, I love it!  Though if I invite to much of it to the party inside my stomach, then I feel as though it’s going to be sat in the warehouse for a while.
Lactose Intolerant?

In other personal health news, I’ve not felt 100% this past week.  Not quite sure why, but some days I just felt like I was trapped inside that specific feeling you’d get when you stand up quick after being sat down a while and you feel dizzy.  No idea why, and wish it would go away too, as it’s sometimes interfering with my productivity of getting any tasks I need to get done simply because I don’t feel up to doing them whilst my mind isn’t fully working.
Perhaps this is the early days of some serious illness?
Perhaps I’m too much of a hypochondriac?

This time next week I’ll possibly still be drinking after having played the role of “Best Man” at the wedding of my friend’s; Pete & Emma.

Whilst on the subject, here is a Best Man video from YouTube.

Not sure if that video is “staged” or “real” but either way…I’ll try not to make that sort of stand out impression on the day, heh :p.  More on how that went in a future blog…

I got constantly bombarded today by my little bro Max asking me to complete levels for him in “New Super Mario Bros DS”.  He’s got something like 1/3 of the way through the game, and because the game gets gradually harder as you go along he’s running into levels he can’t do.  Now…instead of trying and trying over and over (and thus improving your own abilities at the game in question), he just comes to me and asks me to do them for him.  I tried explaining to him that they’re only going to keep getting harder and that he just needs to keep trying until he can do them, but he just tried to downplay the logic in that and re-asks his initial question, and I don’t have the heart to say “no” as it would upset him.
:p
I was younger than him when I was getting my ass handed to me in the original Super Mario Bros on the NES, yet I didn’t have a “please do it for me” person, plus we didn’t have save points back then so if I got far….and died, I had to start from scratch!  My little bro’s just don’t know how lucky they’ve got it (in terms of having less video game frustration to persevere).

Also one major bummer this year has been the fact I haven’t been to or seem to be going to any music festivals in 2010.  Last year i had my first taste of music festivals, and it was awesome, and something I very much wanted to be all over in 2010.  Yet due to the combination of not having enough friends being as openly eager about certain festivals when I was, paired with the fact that I had no money to get a late ticket when some people where telling me they were going to one, and if I wanted to come :p.
Lames!
Hopefully I’ll rectify things and go to 1 or 2 at least in 2011.  As well as hopefully going to Las Vegas next summer for “EVO” an annual fighting game tournament of epic proportions.  Should get a few days of tourism whilst in Vegas too, which would be my first time in that good ol’ Sin City.

If fortune cookies are anything to go by I’m due several good things to happen, yet recently I don’t seem to recall anything that they could’ve been referring too :p.  They’re almost starting to make me believe that fortune cookies are not actually a reliable source for news.

Anywho.  I’ll follow up with another blog in a day or 2.

Till then…

World Cup/ Bachelor Party/…etc! [13 July]

In terms of my own expectations for blogging.  I’m behind.
I’m long overdue a new post.  Same goes for my video game blog (Currently Playing) too.

I’ll get on with it though, eh.

This will be a bit of a speed run blog too.  As in I’m going to try and get through it a.s.a.p.  No background entertainment TV or switching over to twitter for distraction, as I have some Potato Wedges and a Pizza in the oven, and I want this post ONLINE! before those guys are oven baked.

First up.  I turned 24 on June 30th.  Yahoo, to that.  Age doesn’t bother me.  Sure I’m getting older on paper, but in my head I still remain the same colourful imaginative immaturish guy that I’ve always been (in my head).

Although that’s partly a lie, as things aren’t always colourful in there…in fact recently I’ve been on something like a 10 day bad dream streak.  Some days I’m about to die, some days I’m in deep jail time like trouble, or at the least things are just going really bad for me.  I don’t think I’ve ever had a notable streak of bad dreams before.  Plus these aren’t recurring dreams either, it’s something new every night.

Speaking of night.  It’s 00:23am here right now, and my sleeping pattern was sacrificed this weekend in order for me to watch “EVO 2010” live (via stream) online.  Evo is the biggest annual fighting games tournament on the calendar.  It’s run by some amazing people, it’s an amazing gathering of fans of Capcom beat em ups (as well as others), and the crowd it gathers are amazing.  GET HYPE!!
Might need to do some long staying up if possible to try and get my sleeping pattern back to something decent, as today I woke up at 6pm (after going to bed at like 9am).

Moving back to my birthday though.  Things were quiet, but good.  Didn’t do anything major in order to celebrate it, but I got some nice gifts, and had a good day.  My ladypal surprised me from afar (as she’s in the USA over the summer) by having a huge “Mario” cake delivered too me.  Which was DELICIOUS!!

Cake of Win

Also, it’s always weird to read certain birthday cards too.  Like how my parents (whom like I always get the impression are disappointed with me, or something of that nature) got me a card that said something along the lines of: “you are so great that if you wasn’t our son we’d try to adopt you”.  It’s so out of character for them to say something like that, to me at least, but still over analysing cards aside.  Great day.

2 Gifts of Win!

A few days after my birthday it was my homeboy Peter’s Bachelor Party/ Stag Do.  We all went to “Haydock” (horse race track) to drink and gamble.  Then came back to Preston to hit up the city clubs after that.
It was the first time I’d ever been to one of these gambling happy race track places, but it was a good laugh.  Dressing up smart, drinking all day, seeing Pete literally get whipped, good times!

Pete's current Facebook profile pic.

Although i’m gutted I didn’t get to meet boxer Ricky Hatton like Pete and some of the others there did (as i wasn’t with them at the time they bumped into him).  Wanted to ask him about his involvement with WWE earlier this year and how much creative control he actually had with that.  Yeah…bet that question would’ve caught him off guard.

It’s just under 2 weeks now till Pete’s wedding, and as I’m his best man (another first for me), I need to get cracking on some sort of short wedding speech thing.  It’s on my “to-do list” this week.

I guess I’ll have more time on my hands during the weeks now that the World Cup is over.  I was loving that whilst it was on.  I don’t really follow Football as much these days, but every 4 years when the World Cup rolls around I dive in deep.  I love international football, especially when every continent in the world is there to represent.  It was awesome seeing some underdogs cause upsets, and seeing some players really make a name for themselves and become break out stars whilst the whole world was watching.  When it got down to the final yesterday I was personally rooting for Holland to win.  As I feel Spain are a bit over-hyped,  it was a very tight game though, and Spain have won 2 major trophies in 2 years now, so congratulations to them on that.  …now roll on Brasil 2014!! :D

Torres didn't dive here, he was Gief'd!

If you’re reading this blog in facebook, you won’t see the above image properly.  Click Here

Anyway, it’s not long till my food will be heatified, so I best wrap this blog up.  Expect more here and on Currently Playing in the next days/ weeks though.  Fo’ Sho!

Tis the 27th of June

Right-e-o.  Time for another blog update on all things etc & stuff.

Just took an anti-hayfever pill.  Hopefully that will stop the pollen in the air from inputting the cheat codes to make my eyes infinitely itch as well as giving my nose a blackbelt in sneezing.  It’s supposed to be a high ‘RED ALERT’ pollen count for today and tomorrow.
Being attacked by hayfever is SOOO annoying.  It’s a joke of an allergy, yet it can totally put you out of service when it hits hard.

I’m super dooper loving the current Fifa World Cup 2010 South Africa.  Like I said in a previous blog, generally I’m not that much of a follower of Football, but for international tournaments (especially the World Cup) I get super glued too it.  I just love the Worlds greatest gathering together to settle things via a great sport.
There have been some shocking surprise results, some great matches, and a great atmosphere.  It’s a shame it’s over half way over now, but I’ll be cherishing whats left through the knock-out stages to the final.

Had some social fun times to speak of this week too (which has been a rare treat for me as of late, with my recent broke-ness).  Earlier this week I headed over to some of my friends (from Uni), watched some World Cup, and had some good laughs.  Good times!

Then Friday night my friend Sam (from Liverpool) came up, and along with my local friend Drew, we played “winner stays on” at Super Street Fighter IV from about 8pm to nearly 3am.  Sounds insane when you think how long we sat there gaming it up, but with such a great game and some good competition the hours just fly by.  Last night I was at my friends Drew’s, watched USA vs Ghana last night, had Domino’s for eats, and then played a few more hours of Super Street Fighter IV.

It’s been pretty damn hot here in England recently too (hot for England anyway).  It’s been quite a problemo for myself, because as you may know from some of my YouTube videos, or previous blogs…I have a very small room here at my parents place.  I’ve packed in mucho technology though, with my big screen, surround sound, games consoles, etc…  Also the houses boiler is in a cupboard in the back of my room too, so because I can’t really be preventing access to that I have my TV by my window.  Now…collectively quite a lot of heat comes from my TV and any cool air that may come in from the outside goes through that heat, so my room doesnt seem to vent too well.

Snapshot of my room

I did used to have a good sized desktop fan that I had by the couch at my old place, but in moving, and storing some stuff in my Grandpa Toms garage, some son of a bitch (presumably my uncle Graham) has taken my fan without consent, and due to my recent broke-ness I’ve had no money to buy a new fan.  However, I do have this tiny little USB fan working it’s ass off for me, it does very little to cool the room down, but I’m thankful that it tries.

My Usb fan

So yeah, as the blog title says.  Today is June 27th.

Not tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow… but the day after the day after tomorrow will be the 30th of June.  Which will be my 24th birthday (and Mike Tyson’s 44th).  I’m not doing anything special for it (as far as I know).  I’ve kind of been out of the social loop with a bunch of my friends recently, due to money, (not me being anti-social or being a square).  Plus I don’t really feel like having some cliché night out and potentially wasting a bunch of money on alcohol, and starting 24 off with a hangover.

Hopefully I’ll get some cash or vouchers off a few family members, enabling me to perhaps purchase a few video games to fill the free hours at home over summer, I need to send some stuff on my parents tax details to student finance that they’ve requested, so there’s small hope that eventually I’ll get some money off them (money I should’ve technically been receiving from September 09 onwards), so if I got that that would be awesome and would allow me to make more of my summer, but I won’t hold my breathe for that.

Anyway, on the mention of money I’m going to go spend the last of the money I currently have (£2.50) on the 2 bottles for 1 offer a shop near me has on 2 litre bottles of Diet Coke.
So yeah…I’m off out.

Finito Blogo

I’ll have another one out soon aimed more generally on the people here.  So that’ll be some views of mine dropped when that comes.

Until then, thanks for reading.

World Cup. Summer. Bummer. [11th June]

As of now, I am free from University till the next year starts in September. So…I guess I could say my summer has begun :) .

Although the downside right now is that thanks in part to Student Finance I am hellaciously broke when I could’ve been fine, and will remain broke for a while yet.  Thus killing off opportunities to fill my time with social outings with friends :( .  Bummer.

Another “bummer” of sorts is the fact that my girlfriend has today flown to America (to work at a girls summer camp), and will be gone for 11 weeks.  No doubt she’ll have an awesome time over in USA :) , I know I would.

I could try and turn that into a positive on my end by thinking of it as like 11 weeks of being free to hang out whenever with friends etc, mindlessly lose my days playing video games, watching TV shows, or whatever. …However, my girlfriend isn’t the clingy type in the first place, so regardless of her being home or away doesn’t really make much difference to my ability to do things with friends, and vice versa. I’m already missing her as I write this, but it’s not something I’m gonna be putting myself down with, and I hope she’s doing the same there.  I mean, sure enough it sucks that we’ll be apart for a few months, but our feelings for each other are still very much the same, and they’ll remain the same until she’s back.  There are no trust issues either, so there’s no biting of nails before going to bed at night imagining the other person is cheating, so our minds are free to just focus on good things rather than be weighed down with worry. Ideally both our summers will be awesome and the time will fly by :)

So yeah, today is Friday the 11th of June.  It’s apparently Ryan Dunn (MTV Jackass, CKY, etc) birthday, Shia LeBeouf’s (Disturbia, Transformers…) birthday, a Hawaiian national holiday, the 55th anniversary of the Le Mans Disaster, but most importantly to myself…it’s the start of the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Any friend of mine, new or long term, probably doesn’t really associate me with Football/ Soccer, as I’m not really that vocal about it.  I used to be a big fan of football when I was younger, and had a season ticket for my favourite team “Blackburn Rovers” for 3 seasons back to back when I was 11-14, as I grew older though I kind of eased off being a follower of football.  Although when an international tournament is going on my interest grows mucho’s.

Especially for the Fifa World Cup.  It’s great seeing a bunch of foreign nations gather together their current top players, and compete against each other in the worlds biggest sporting event.  It’s also great to see the atmosphere of the supporters and the whole carnival-esque spectacle the World Cup usually brings with it. Seeing as I currently have no job and university is over, it means I’m pretty much free to watch the world cup in it’s entirety.  Starting at 1pm with the opening ceremonies (although nothing will ever beat the 2008 Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing :D ), followed by the opening game “South Africa vs Mexico” at 3pm.  Then pretty much everyday for over a month will contain 2 – 3 matches.

I’ll also use this time to play some Nintendo DS too, as I can easily play some DS whilst watching the games in the background for matches I’m not as engrossed in. Another bonus of the world cup is how the supermarkets generally have offers on my favourite beers (usually ASDA selling Budweisers for cheap), ice cold Budweiser + international football = good times (imo).

Here’s a handy web page from the Telegraph showing what time matches are and what TV channel (UK) they are on. >>click here<<

BBC Sports Top 10 World Cup Controversies [Click here for Video]

Also, I was just checking to see how much it would cost for a full size “Fevernova” (The World Cup 2002 football) as that is perhaps one of the coolest footballs ever in my opinion. cheapest I see them on eBay is like over £100.

Me with my 'mini' Fevernova

Makes me wonder if Official Adidas World Cup Footballs are an investment?

Touching on World news for a second…

It was quite shocking to hear in the news that a guy went on a killing spree in the UK just over a week ago.  [Cumbria Shootings].  It’s really sad to hear of people being killed in such horrific rampages, although I do find it somewhat interesting (as do many) to try and find out why someone would do such a thing, what there motives were, and so forth.

Personally I believe the issue is always related to a persons sanity and mental health in cases like this, so it pisses me off when the media try and blame these sorts of things on movies, music, and video games.  Such as how the Telegraph has tried to involve a Steven Segal movie that Derrick Bird watched the day before he committed his crimes as being related to what caused this.

Anyway, through related stories I heard about the 1996 Dunblane Massacre where a sick bastard went and killed a bunch of children in a school.  Although worst of all from the ones I read about was the Port Arthur massacre, which to read about was quite horrific and somewhat frightening to try and picture it happening.

Whilst on the topic of crazy people, but bringing things away from such tragic events.  I read about Jack Churchill the other day online.  A World War II Lieutenant Colonel who was quite colourful to say the least.  Read and see why

So…I’m going to wrap up this blog now.  Things to do.  Expect a regular random blog to come over the next few days though.

May 25th. Lil bro’s B’day// Heat// …

So it’s been just a few days since my last blog, but I’m at it again.

First up…today my littlest of little bro’s turns 5.  I’ve got him a football/ soccer version of that tetherball/ swingball game…You know were you have 2 people hitting a ball around a pole until someone takes the lead and wraps it around.

My bro's gift, wrapped in Christmas Wrapping Paper ^_^

I was gonna play it safe with a voucher …seeing as he’s 5 and kids get old with toys so easily I figured I’d just leave it to him to get something, but I don’t really like giving people vouchers as it seems like there’s no thought put into the gift.  So giving him something fun to play with in the garden with my other little bro (Jake, 7) they can probably enjoy that in the garden over the summer months.

It was good fun wondering around Toys R Us looking for a gift though.  Getting to see what stuff is making a come back, and what cheap shite is getting passed off as a toy.

Just to update you.  Yo Yo’s seem to be making a comeback, Tamagotchi’s are back…although they’re cheaper than they used to be.

Also…get this!!  I’m sure a number of you have seen “Billy’s Balls” on YouTube.  It’s a special feature in the “Toy Machine Skateboards video: Suffer the Joy”.

Basically the video consists of dudes bouncing ping pong balls into a cup in many stylish and crazy ways.  Obviously the video took ages to film and that those success shots are all edited together to create one cool looking montage of skill throws.

WELL… At Toys R Us there was actually a cup and ball set being sold to try and inspire kids to have a go at doing some cool throws themselves  …The problem being was that it was being sold for about £9.  £9 for a ping pong ball and a plastic cup with a cartoon monster thing painted on it, jeez!

Apparently there was a tv advert recently to use that ball throw thing in it hence why it’s popularity has inspired a kids toy.  I haven’t seen that myself so for me at the time it just seemed random that some company was trying to make money off a video from years ago which without the video…kids wouldn’t actually give a shit about a ping pong ball and a cup.

Before I move on, here are 2 more of those Billy’s Balls clips for you to watch (as lets face it…they’re cool, and it makes me smile and think of times where I’ve spent the better part of my day doing trivial things with my friends for fun).
>>Billy’s Balls 2<<
>>Billy at the Berrics<<

oh…and here’s the advert that I think my sister was talking about >>here<< (that advert is weak though, and the “great deals for popular people” slogan is appalling if you ask me).

I wonder if they make a "24 Today" card?...as my b'day is next month and I <3 Mario

Moving on from my lil bro’s birthday though, but staying within family matters…My little sister finally passed her driving test the other day (4th time lucky).  So she’s driving now, parents have hooked her up with a 2002 corsa (8 year old car that still looks fine).  I was originally given a 93 corsa in like 2004 (11 year old car that had a few rust issues) …I take that as further evidence that my sister has always been a favourite over me :p.  Oh and lets not forget the fact my dad used to nickname my sister “besty” when we were kids…clear implication that she was favoured then.   Anyway, I’m sure she technically owes me a lot of free drives seeing as how I’ve given her a number of lifts over the years when I had a car, but I don’t think I’m in any need to redeem those any time soon.

In fact I’m still STILL hoping to get that money I’m led to believe I will be getting from Student Finance, and then when I do I want to buy a BMX, so I can travel about Preston via bike.  Good excercise, and good fun.  Want!  If Preston had smoother streets I’d just take to skateboarding around more often, but as it stands a lot of the main streets are either unskateable surfaces, or just a bitch to skate (at least on my wheels anyway).

Another family matter I have to raise is the fact that I went into my Grandad’s garage the other day to try and get my desktop fan I had when I lived at my old place.  I put some of my stuff from there in my Grandad’s garage because we didn’t have the room in the garage here…and guess what…one of my uncle’s has gone and stolen my fan.  >:|  The nerve!  Plus it’s been well hot here recently too.  Not to mention the fact I live in like a 2 by 1 metre room that has a lot of electronic activity going on…meaning it gets hot in here.  So for me to go looking for my fan and realise this one object of joy that I had once bought to keep me cool, which I wanted to re-unite with in order to be able to not be tired all the time from this overheating hijinx has now been taken away and I am currently unable to afford a new one…well that just pisses me off >:|.  I hope when I do move again I’m not going to eventually find out more things of mine have been taken (by my own relatives ffs).

—-

Speaking of heat, when I did my last blog the other day I finished it and posted it from my friend Drew’s room.  It was a hot day then too, hence why I was wearing a vest on that day (as seen in my current mood picture from that blog).  I’m not normally the kind of person that’s comfortable going around in a vest.  The items of clothing themselves are very comfortable…and are great for hot as hell days like what we’re experiencing here recently.  The thing is though…when I see vest wearers there are usually 2 extremes.

  1. Those white guys who think they’re tough or want to show off there gym time by wearing a vest.
  2. Those skinny white guys who either look like the skinny guy from “Road Trip” or Cletus from the Simpsons.

Now, I dabble in self conciousness from time to time so I think about that sort of thing when I put a vest on and leave the house, because I don’t want to come across as one of those 2 types of people, I just want to be a dude who’s overdosing on this heat and needs to let his skin breathe a bit more.  So if I’m ever in a vest…don’t judge me!

Getting back to the mention of being at my friend Drew’s house though…like I said, it was a hot day.  I stepped into his room and it was very stuffy, I made a comment on the temperature, and then immediately I noticed he was drinking a cup of tea.  I couldn’t let this sight go unspoken about so I was like:

Me: “dude it’s 400 degrees and you’re drinking a hot cup of tea”
Him: “it cools me down”
Me: “a hot drink cools you down…?”
Him: “yes, it’s refreshing”
Me: “the last thing I want when I’m hot is a hot drink…”

Anyway…2 days later I brought this up, only to be told by someone else that the hot drink to be cool thing is apparently right.  Yet I still fail to see how the hell people get refreshed by a hot drink, and I think these people with this theory need to go reset their “thirst quenching” options to real world standards.   Cold Beverages PPL!!!  A cold soda, or a cold beer in these summer months is a thing of beauty.

Anyway…that’s it for now.  If you want more…there’ll be more in a few more days.

  • The Big Bang Theory – One of my favourite shows on TV at the moment, will watch the season 3 finale tonight.
  • Wrestlemania 26 – Was showing a friend the Taker vs HBK match at the weekend.  Want to get some WWE on Blu-Ray when I can afford too, it’s one of the best examples of Sports in HD…well, “Sports Entertainment”.

Listening to:

  • Various Electronic music I’ve got on my iTunes
  • Been listening to more old school hip hop/ rap recently too.  Goes well with the warmer weather
  • Super Street Fighter IV Soundtrack.
  • Various IGN podcasts

April Sixteenth

Hmm, well, I kind of feel lame for implying there would hardly be a gap between blogs since my last blog on here, as there has been a near 2 week break.

Although, if you’re down with the saying “better late than never”, then I give kudos to your patience… :)

Well for the past 2 weeks I’ve been off Uni for Easter break (guess that would be Spring Break in the USA?), nothing major has gone down in that time as I’ve not had the money to do anything pretty much.  Had a bunch of work to do over the holidays though, which as always…has built up to the last few days off, although I’ve gathered research and nailed an idea down today so at least the thought process part of the work is done, and now all I have to do is create a final piece for a project (off my idea) as well as print off some research and such.

Easter in the UK is usually celebrated with the giving and eating of chocolate eggs (I don’t know why…Wikipedia it).  I received 2 this year, and have helped myself to bits of my lil bro’s that have been in the fridge too.  It’s been a good time for chocolate recently for me that’s for sure.  Oh and here’s a fun fact…Where I live (Preston) there is a tradition of rolling Easter Eggs down hills in order to break them up, if you’re not going to a hill, then down the stairs is just fine.  I always figured this rolling the egg to break it thing was a national tradition, a weird one (sure enough), but it wasn’t until about 3 weeks ago in a Uni seminar that I found out it was just a tradition of Preston peeps.  It’s kind of fun when you find out something that’s been normal to you your whole life isn’t a widely recognized thing.  Great conversation starter for sure.

Oh and if you read my last blog on Flu, then I’m glad to inform you that that eventually went away.  I think about this time last week actually.  Then I had a few days were I thought my anti-depressants I take were giving me a bad indigestion side effect after waking up in the middle night on occasions several hours after having one, with a really painful stomach pain :\ but somehow that cleared up on it’s own.  I need to go see the doctors again soon though, give them an update on things, let them know I’ve not really been too bad on the depression side of things in recent weeks…they like to keep there record on me up to date.

I’m due an installment of student finance by Monday so that will allow me to do some retail therapy which I always enjoy.  I’ve already got in mind a bunch of things I want to spend money on when it lands in my bank account.  Although I can’t really buy anything extravagant, those sort’s of purchases will have to wait till I find out if I’m getting back paid for all the maintenance grants I should’ve had this uni year but didn’t get, due to Student Finance not having me down as wanting it (even though I did want/ need it :P ).  Student Finance England’s inadequacies are pretty much a CD single I seem to of had on repeat since I started university though :/.  I’ve said it before…I’m sure the company is just full of heartless robots doing as they please.  I even made this image last year to put a visual to my words…

Getting back to the point at the start about my absence of blogs on here though has also been because of me splitting my blogging duties between here (where all my blogs are on my personal life and such), and Currently Playing (where I blog about Video Games).  I have found myself much more motivated in blogging regarding video games, so my other blog has been getting more attention recently it seems.  Although I don’t think I’ll ever stop being a regular blogger, as real life never stops, and I love the internet.

Spent a lot of today with Shark stuff on in the background, had a bunch of “Shark Week” stuff on discs and just had it playing on the TV whilst I’ve been doing uni research and such.  Watched a Mythbusters special on Jaws related things, and a bunch of cool documentaries.  Sharks own! so it was Good times!

In other news, I think one of my little bro’s may be gay.  I have 2 little bro’s Jake (7) and Max (4).  I also have no problems with gay people, I have some close friends who are gay.  To the point though…I can only speak as an observer of my lil bro’s and their friends of the same age that they play with, but sometimes the games they play and the way they act are just so gay.  Obviously the fact they’re kids means the type of gay-ness they’re giving out isn’t of a sexual nature, but it’s definitely gay.  My sister (17) agree’s with this too.
I dunno…maybe a lot of kids are just gay?

Perhaps I should be worried that my lil bro’s also go to a school that’s attached to a church, what with all those recent outbreaks of sexual abuse charges showing up in the press etc :/  Although that’s pretty damn sick, and these are my lil bro’s whom I love, so I feel bad for including them in that joke.  Although if my blog is still archived on the internet when my lil bro’s are grown up, and any of them are gay, and happen to read this blog, then… hey bro, I called it dude, you weren’t the vagina type from the get go.

I really ought to get back to my uni work now, otherwise I’ll end up wasting all my time not doing work, and time will wiggle it’s way closer to late night Sunday and then I’ll be fretting about the rush of work I need to do for the following morning, and boy do I hate that feeling.  I’m sure I had a bunch more stuff I wanted to blog about, but it seems to of been moved to a different folder in my mind :\  I’ll have to make notes of stuff I want to blog about to flesh out the next blog or something.

Until then, thanks for reading, and remember…you can follow me on twitter if you want, if I don’t know you and you say you found me through my blog then I’ll happily follow back :)
